Kazipur Press Club's joint general secretary and district representative of Jatida Daily Lakhkantha newspaper and district representative of Khabar TV, journalist Salim Shikder and Ullapa, joint general secretary of the National Journalist Association and the National Journalist Association, have organized a human chain program in the wake of the terrorist attack on journalist Sajjadul Islam (Today's Darpan).
Kazipur Press Club President Shahjahan Ali (Kartota) and Editor Abdul Jalil, (Kaler Kantha), Editor of Daily Alokita Bangla K,M Masud Rana and others spoke in this hour-long program in front of Kazipur Upazila Parishad at 11 am on Tuesday.
In his speech, all the leaders strongly protested and condemned the terrorist attack against the journalists for their professional responsibilities.
He also demanded punishment against those who directly and indirectly injured the journalists with this attack.
The leaders also said that we want the attack to be fair and the government's administration will take the attack seriously.
TM Kamal (Yamuna Prabha), Shafiqul Islam (Bhorer Kagazi), Alamhmud Sarkar Jutel (Bangladesh Light), Ashraful Alam (Ajaker newspaper), Mizanur Rahman Minu (Padma Sangbad), Korbar Ali (Sirajganj Barta), Enamul Haque (Ajaker Janbani), Anadar Hossain (Alokti Morning) and others were also present in this human chain.
It is to be noted that on November 28, DB police arrested a person red-handed while casting a fake vote in the Ullapazar Puthita Government Primary School Center in Sirajganj, in the UP elections of the third stage, and journalists took pictures of the arrested person. Later, when the DB Police left, the terrorist group attacked them.
