State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain has said that there is no custom of government officials to say ‘Sir’ or ‘Madam’.
He said, there is no custom that our officials will follow, sir, madam or something like that.
He said this in response to a question about participating in the BSRF dialogue organized by Bangladesh Secretary forum (BSRF) at the media center in the Secretariat on Tuesday.
The Minister of State said, "Sir" means "Mahdam", "Madame", "Mr." or Mr. Rules of Business. Look at those who come to you to serve you, they are like your brothers, like father, like a relative, who come to serve are the people, the people of the people, people's money, your salary will be your salary.
Farhad Hossain said, "We want to make our slogan fully realized. That's why I am connected with the officials, I inspire them. I give instructions to the chief departmental commissioners of the field administration. They are working every day from Aceland to the UNO. They are giving them these messages that we have to mix with the people every day. We have said that there will be no difference here in the public administration.
‘Smiles when someone takes the service, your attitude is very important. If someone doesn't have an incoming attitude to take the service, you're reprimanded or angry, it's corruption. It's a corruption of corruption. It's not possible to do it. You speak beautifully, fluently.’ Saying that is not like you can't show power or you're losing. Provide the service as much as you can. Your behavior is the behavior of the government. Everyone thinks your office is a part of the Prime Minister's office.’

Recently, an official in the field administration was not addressed as Sir. In the case of the situation, there was an incident in the state of public administration.
