Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has announced that all secondary schools in Bangladesh will be promoted as Digital Academy and Center of Excellence by 2030. She made this announcement considering the Udiman job market in the fourth industrial revolution.
He made this announcement in a video speech aired at the high-level virtual meeting titled ‘Digital Cooperation: Action Today for Future Generation’ held at the headquarters of the organization on the sidelines of the 75th General Session of the United Nations in New York on Wednesday.
‘The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the power of digital services in addition to the world of digital inequality. Half of the world's people do not have access to basic internet services. We must eliminate this inequality.’
In 2021, the Prime Minister said that the government's initiative for digitization in Bangladesh has led to a tremendous leap in terms of access to the Internet service. The total number of internet subscribers has reached 10.34 million. Our digitalization has given our people a huge opportunity to introduce the role of ‘change-maker’.
The government of Bangladesh has given importance to digital connectivity and has played a role in bringing about economic development and social change including women's power, she said, ‘It is also helping the SDGs and anti-COVID-19 activities."
Highlighting the goal of a developed and prosperous Bangladesh by 2041, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, ‘We want to keep our youth at the center of this journey of changing the day.’
Considering the Udiman job market in the fourth industrial revolution from that time, he promised to raise the digital Academy and Center of Excellence in all secondary schools of Bangladesh by 2030.
