The Minister of Transport and Bridges Obatadul Quader has said that the implementation of the new transport law has been spent for another week.
He announced this decision after the effective discussion meeting on the effective transport of Bangladesh Sakha Transport Authority (BRTA) office in Banani on Thursday.
Obatadul Quader said, ‘At the beginning of this law, the law was set to create awareness for the same reason. This time the same was given for another week. From then on, the law will be strictly implemented.’
Obatadul Quader said, "Essentially, before the strict law enforcement, there is a more equality, so they have been given a more week-long summary of the law. From then on, the law will be strictly enforced. The work of making the rules of this law has also been finalized."
Knowing that if the strict law is implemented, the Minister of Transport said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered to restore order to the people. This is a very important role that everyone has to follow this and will be playing a role in this difficult law.
When asked about the reason for the delay in the law enforcement, he said, "Better late than never... The law has now come to the pre-elective level, all concerned ministries have been aligned, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has also known her expectations. Now we have been in the process of going through the rules of the law.
Obatadul Quader said that the two city corporations of the country have started work to bring order to the sidewalks and parking in the city, but due to the outbreak of dengue, we have started working on the path of reality. They are not on the way to get licensed for the realization of the drivers.
I have called on the BRTA's chairman to not commit any misdeeds, he said, if any BRTA employees commit corruption, then he should be excluded from the corruption. This institution will be done what it is necessary to do to free the corruption. If there is no broker inside BRTA, there are outside buildings.
Earlier, Obatadul Quader participated in an exchange meeting with officials of various levels of BRTA in the implementation of the Saka Transport Act 2018 and creating public awareness.
