The Awami League has rejected the demand of the National Unity Front to form a neutral government during the dissolution of the parliament.
Awatami League General Obatadul Quader said this in a press briefing after the dialogue with Jati Oikya Front at Ganabhaban on Thursday (01 November) night.
The dialogue of the National Oikya Front with the alliance led by the Awami League started at 7:00 p.m. and ended shortly after 10:00 p.m.
In this three-hour dialogue, the election period government, the release of Khaleda Gita, political cases and other issues will be discussed.
Among the seven-point demands, the number one demand of the Jatiya Oikya Front was - ‘Resignation of the government for the purpose of free, fair and impartial elections, the cancellation of the national parliament, the formation of a neutral government during the election period and the release of all the royal prisoners including the former Prime Minister Khaleda and the withdrawal of false cases should be ensured.’
Regarding the main demand of Jatiya Oikya Front, ‘Constitution of Parliament is broken and an independent government during the election’, Awami League General Secretary said, Obadul Quader said, "We will not go beyond the constitution. We have said one thing - the leader (Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina) has also mentioned the poison in the letter. We can't go beyond the constitution. We can't go beyond the constitution."
Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has given the consolidation of Oikya Front leaders for fair elections, Obatadul Quader said that the Prime Minister has given the certainty of free and fair elections.
He said the Prime Minister told them that the electoral entity in the election was the Election Commission's responsibilities after the announcement of the schedule and the Election Commission will play an authoritative role. The government will not interfere, so there is no reason to fear the election.
The demand for the release of Khaleda Ghita Aomi League general secretary told reporters that the Prime Minister told them that it is a matter of law, the court is not a matter of law, the issue of the court cannot come in the dialogue. And this case is in accordance with the caretaker government. I have not filed this case and the supervisor was the one who was in the position of BNP.
Quader said, there were 16 cases against our leader. They have been investigated and reported that no case has been withdrawn.
Regarding the political cases, Obatadul Quader said that they have highlighted the poison of the political case. In this case, the Prime Minister has asked Kamal Hossain to list such cases. The Prime Minister said, we will investigate the issue and take action.
In the meeting, he said, there will be freedom of assembly and expression, but the Prime Minister said that it will be held without blocking the road.
"Level playing field and foreign tourists have been demanding that they have a level playing field, we have agreed on these issues. We will be cooperating with this."
He said, "EVM is the modern system of EVM, but this time the EVMs are used by the Election Commission to limited the EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) and we will support it.
Regarding the demand of the army in judicial power, Quader said, Dr. Our leaders said to Kamal Hossain, you tell me, you have also taken the election. Since independence, there have been many elections in this country, and only in 2001, the army had this power to give it to the army only in 2001. In any election, there was no magistracy of the army in Bangladesh, so why do you want it now?
In response to the question whether there will be a dialogue with Oikya Front again, the general secretary of Aomi League said that the door of discussion will be open. If Oikya Front wants, there will be a discussion again.
Obatadul Quader said that there was an open discussion in the dialogue, Oikya Front leaders Dr. with Kamal Hussain All those who wanted to talk were spoken. Many have spoken several times. Awami League President Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has listened to everyone's words with undivided attention.
‘Sinneer leaders have also spoken on our behalf. Some of their complaints were that our leaders have made our statements on those poisons. We agree with some of the poisons.’
When asked about the position of Oikya Front leaders in the dialogue, he said, "I think many of the arguments given by the Prime Minister are convincing."
The leaders of Oikya Front participated in the dinner held at Ganobhaban in the midst of a three-hour dialogue.
