PML-N leader Shahbaz Sharif became the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan unopposed after Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-PTI resigned from the parliament.
His rival PTI leader Shah Mahmud Qureshi has confirmed that Shahbaz has won the post of Prime Minister, Pakistani media Geo News and Dawn have confirmed.
Shahbaz is the brother of three-time Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan, 70-year-old Shahbaz's full name is Mita Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif. Since August 20, 2018, he has been the leader of the opposition party in the National Parliament of Pakistan.
He has served 3 times before the Chief Minister of Punjab, but no one has served the title of Punjab Chief Minister for such a long time.
