Election Commission (EC) Secretary Helaluddin Ahmad said, ‘We want to take first vote (election) in all those districts and upazilas which are replicating in the peaceful conditions.’
He said these things at the inauguration ceremony of the training of election officials on the occasion of the 5th Upazila Parishad election at ETI Bhawan in Agargaon this morning and the use of EVMs.
EC Secretary said in the example, ‘Greater Comilla, No'akhali, then Chittagong district - there has been a ruckus in many centers in the local government elections and the parliamentary elections in the national elections. So we will do them later.’ I will start in the areas which are pusful.’
The EC Secretary said, ‘We will elect the three districts of the hills together. Since there are some terrorist groups there. We can finish if the three hill districts are combined. This is how we have made a plan. Today (Sunday) we will present the commission meeting. If they approve, I will let you know this poison.’
ETI Director General Mustafa Farooq presided over this election Commissioner Mahbub Talukder, Director of ETI. Farhad Hossain and Belatet Hossain were present.
