The Islamic University (EB) authorities have taken various programs to celebrate the due dignity of Martyred Intellectual Day-2023.
As part of the program, the Holy Quran and Doa Mahfil will be held tomorrow Wednesday (December 13) in the central mosque of the university and the souls of the martyred intellectuals of the Great Liberation War and the candles will be lit in memory of the martyred intellectuals at 12:00 PM.
On the occasion of Martyr Intellectual Day, on Thursday (December 14) at 10 am in front of the administration building and in the halls, the national flag will be hoisted at half-mast, black flag hoisted and black badges will be held in the administration building premises. Sheikh Abdus Salam and the black flag will be hoisted by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahbubur Rahman will be accompanied by the treasurer Professor Dr. Alamgir Hossain Bhuita and Registrar (Acting) H. M. Ali Hasan, in the same coincidence, the national flag and the black flag will be hoisted by the provosts of their respective halls.
At the end of the flag hoisting, the mourning rally will be taken out from the administration building premises.
Later, to pay respect to the memory of the martyred intellectuals, on behalf of the university, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sheikh Abdus Salam will then pay tribute to various societies, faculties, halls, departments, councils, forums, student organizations and various social and cultural organizations and the Shahid Memorial.
At the end of the tribute to the memory of the martyred intellectuals, one minute of silence will be observed and the peace of their souls will be held and prayers will be held.
Later, to pay respect to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of independent Bangladesh, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sheikh Abdus Salam.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of the Great Vijt Day-2023, the university administration will hold various programs on December 16.
