On the occasion of the 13th National Assembly Election and Recitalation-2026, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) nominated candidate Abul Khat of Bangladesh has been elected in the private preliminary results of Laxmipur-2 (part of Ratapur and Lakshmipur Sadar) constituencies on the occasion of the Parliament Election and Recitals-2026.
The total number of voters in this constituency was 2 lakh 57 thousand 896. The results of all 82 polling stations were obtained and polling in any polling station was not suspended.
According to the results obtained, BNP candidate Abul Khater Bhui has got 77 thousand 865 votes in the paddy grain symbol. His nearest rival Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate USM Ruhul Amin Bhui has got 66 thousand 593 votes. As such, Abul Khar Bhui has got 11 thousand 272 votes.
Among other candidates, the candidate of the People's Adhikar Parishad (GOP) Abul Bashar got 189 votes in the truck symbol, Mohammad Rezaul Karim of Nagrik Oikya got 114 votes in the kettle symbol, Bangladesh Supreme Party (BSP) Md. Ibrahim Mita Ektara symbol got 926 votes, Bangladesh Kalyan Party's Md. Farhad Mitghzhi has received 118 votes in the kettle symbol and the Islamic movement has been awarded in the symbol of Bangladesh.
The total valid votes in this seat are 1 lakh 48 thousand 596. The number of invalid votes is 3 thousand 976. The total votes cast are 1 lakh 52 thousand 572, which is 59.16 percent of the total voters.
Ratpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Assistant Returning Officer Mehedi Hasan Kaushar officially announced the results.
It should be noted that Abul Khater Bhui has been elected Member of Parliament for the fourth time from Lakshmipur-2 Constituency.
