A college student named Naim Al Hasan Parvez was killed in a head-on collision between a CNG-powered autorickshaw in Laxmipur, and three others were injured.
On Friday (November 29) evening, the accident took place in Sutargopta area of Lakshmipur-Ramgati Saker.
Naim is a BA second year student of Lakshmipur Government College and son of Jahangir Hossain of Joksin Bazar area of Sadar Upazila.
The injured are Naim's friend Asif, autorickshaw passengers Russell and Sagar, while Asif's condition is critical, he has been sent to Dhaka for better treatment.
Witnesses said that Sandhya Naim was going to visit the Motirhat Meghna shore of Kamalnagar on a motorcycle on his friend Asif, and when he came to Sutargopta area on the way, the motorcycle was suddenly hit with an autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction.
Laxmipur Sadar Hospital Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Anonor Hossain said the accident killed one person named Naim, who is being treated in hospital and two injured persons are being treated and a person named Asif has been sent to Dhaka for better treatment.
