Two fishermen were killed by electrocution after catching fish in water bodies in Lakshmipur. The incident took place in Mitarbei area of Bhabaniganj Union of Sadar Upazila on Friday morning.
The two jailed jailers are Rubel Hossain and Shakeel Ahmad, Rubel, son of Hossain Ahmed of the local Charmansa village and Shakil, the son of Idris Ali of the same person. Rubel's body is kept in Sadar Hospital Morgue and Shakeel's own house.
The fishermen caught fishing in the water bodies of Swapan Doctor in Mirabei area of Bhavaniganj and the fishermen caught the net of the water in the isolated situation. He was electrocuted, and then the other fishermen turned off the electricity connection and rescued them without a sound.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station Azizur Rahman Mitta confirmed the incident and said that two fishermen have been killed by electrocution while fishing and further action is being taken after investigating the poison.
