The incident took place in North Temuhani area of Lakshmipur city on Monday (February 12) morning.
The arrested are - Sadar Thana Paschim Jubo Dal joint convener Shipon Pattori, workers Rashed, Nuru and Sumon Hossain. They were arrested in front of the procession.
District BNP general secretary Sahabuddin Sabu said that the police have blocked the peaceful program of protesting against Begum Khaleda Gita, which was unarmedly detained by four of their leaders and activists.
Laxmipur District Superintendent of Police (SP) ASM Mahatab Uddin said that four people have been arrested in the name of the movement and the police have been careful to keep law and order.
