Lakshmipur ;; A battery-powered autorickshaw driver named Abdur Rahim (45) was killed by a passenger bus in Lakshmipur.
The accident took place at Mandari Bazar in Sadar Upazila around 7 pm on Wednesday (October 10).
The deceased Abdur Rahim is the son of deceased Abdul Ali of West Battali village of Upazila Dattapa Unit.
Meanwhile, after the incident, the driver could not arrest him in Palli, where the killer bus was in police custody.
Witnesses said that the autorickshaw driver Abdur Rahim was hit by a passenger bus of Anand Paribahan on the Raatpur-Sonapur route, which he was seriously injured in. The locals rescued him and then after seeing the condition worsened, the doctor was advised to send him to Notakhali General Hospital.
The slaying bus has been in police custody, but the driver has run away.
