Moju Chowdhury's Hat area of Laxmipur Sadar Upazila was conducted on Sunday (March 15) at noon to keep the supply and market price of fuel normal.
During the operation, the provision of proper stock of fuel oil traders and the preservation of the sales register, the same company should be fined a total of 31,000 taka as per the petroleum law, 2016 and the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009.
On the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Fitr, strict precautions have been given at the bus counters of the area to make the journey of people unhindered and to stop excessive ginger.
It has been informed by the district administration that such operations will continue to keep the market down, consumer protection and Eid journey in the interest of the public.
