An old man named Hossain Ahmed (55) was killed by the opponents due to a land dispute in Laxmipur.
4 more people were injured and 4 others were injured in the incident at 12:00 pm on Thursday (August 4) at North Ramapur village in the Dighli Uniton of Sadar Upazila.
The deceased is the son of deceased Ali Ahmed of North Ramapur village, the injured are Amir Hossain (50), his son Akram Hossain (19), Nazmul Islam (15) and Monir Ahmed's son Kamrul Hossain. The condition of the injured is said to be critical.

According to sources, the land dispute has been going on for a long time between the family of Abdus Sattar Master of North Ramapur village and Yunus Master's family. This morning, people like Yunus' sons Saifur Rahman Dulal, Saidur Rahman Milan and Liton Bhatt people were going to build a house in the land of Sattar Master.
Later, the locals rescued them and brought them to Sadar Hospital, where the injured Amir, Akram, Nazmul and Kamrul were given first aid.
Their condition is critical and they have been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.
