Laxmipur college student Deepta killed 14 people life imprisonment

The court sentenced 14 people to life imprisonment in Laxmipur, a fine of Tk 20,000, and sentenced to one more year in prison.

Judge Nazmul Huda Talukder of Laxmipur Additional District and Datra Judge Court gave the verdict on Wednesday afternoon.

Earlier, in the 2011 robbery in Hamchadi village of Laxmipur Sadar Upazila, the robbers shot dead Deepta and 5 accused were present in the court in front of Rata while others are absconding.

Kamrul, Jahangir, Saiful Islam Sumon, Ahidur Rahman and Kamal Hossain were present in the court among the convicts.

According to the court, on the night of July 2, 2011, during the robbery in Madhya Hamchadi village of Sadar Upazila, the robber gang shot dead Dipta Pal, a 12th class student of Lakshmipur Government College, and the police filed a police complaint on March 3. On March 3, 2013, one of the accused named Sujan died in the court and the long-term hearing was held by the court.

Additional Public Prosecutor (APP) of Laxmipur Judge Court Abul Kalam confirmed the poison.

Meanwhile, the plaintiff in the case expressed his dissatisfaction and said that he had appealed to the High Court.
