The court sentenced 3 people to death and life imprisonment for 3 people in Lakshmipur, while each convicted person has been fined Rs 10,000.

Those sentenced to death are Kofil Uddin, Janal Abdin and Abdur Rahman.
The convicts are Isachin Arafat Rafi, Zulfikar Ali, Moktar Hossain, Jalal Ahmad and Khorshed Alam. Among those convicted in court in the same way, Kofil Uddin Chayat was not present.
According to the court sources, on May 22, 2014, at around 11 pm, Sadar Upazila's Charshahi Union Awami League President Abdul Mannan Bhui was called from the phone and killed by cutting his throat.
Later, the police recovered his body from the road next to his own house, the wife of the deceased, Anjumanara Begum, filed a case against the unidentified accused, the police conducted a case against 8 on June 2, 2015.
