After the state status in Lakshmipur, the funeral of the late AKM Shahjahan Kamal, a member of parliament, was completed on Saturday (September 30) at around 6:30 pm at the Laxmipur Adarsh Samad Government High School grounds at the end of the 11th Maghrib Laharkandi area of Laharkandi in the Laharkandi area.
The funeral was attended by the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka Vishwa Vidyalaya. ASM Maksud Kamal, District Awami League President Golam Farooq Pinku, General Secretary Nuruddin Chowdhury Noon MP, Laxmipur-2 Constituency Member of Parliament Mohammad Noman, Noumakhali District Awtami League President AHM Khatirul Anam Chowdhury, Bhola District Awtami League General Secretary Moinul Hossain Biplab, Central Jubo League Presidium Member of BNP, Govt.
Before this, the deceased was led by District Superintendent of Police (SP) Tarek Bin Rashid and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Arifur Rahman to give salam to the state.
Shahjahan Kamal died in the capital's Ever Kether Hospital at 3:19 a.m. on Saturday (September 30) at 3:19 AM. He was elected Member of Parliament from No.11 in the first national parliamentary election.
Shahjahan Kamal is the son of Farid Ahmed and Machuma Khatun of Laharkandi area of Laharkandi area of Laxmanpur municipality, leaving behind numerous benefactors including his wife, one son and 3 Mets.
