The 18th World Autism Awareness Day was celebrated in Rakhtpur, Lakshmipur with the theme of “Snatudiversity and the sustainable development goal of the United Nations”.
Social activist Rupam Sahar conducted and chaired by Saiful Islam Ringku, executive director of the organization.
Assignment Officer of the Ministry of Public Administration (27th BCS) was present as the chief guest on the occasion. Md. Mustafa Shaon was present as special guests, former Chetman Gazi Amin Ulya, former councilor BNP leader Mainuddin Bhuita, former student leader Ibrahim Hossain Sumon and humanitarian work pioneer Paran Bahadur. Among other guests were village doctor Ahsan Kabir Milan, eminent businessman Rakib Pattori, Shiblu, and expatriate Ritaz Hossain Khan.
Negotiators praised the humanitarian initiatives of the veteran and disabled welfare organizations and called for broader social activities, experts said, adding that such initiatives are very important to raise autism awareness and make the disabled.
It should be noted that by observing the day, it is called upon to take more effective initiatives to increase awareness to the disabled people in the society and create opportunities for them to live a fair life.
