Ganga bathing was held on the occasion of Ashtami with the participation of thousands of pilgrims in Rakhtpur, Lakshmipur, and the day-long bathing was held in the Dakatita river known as Mahashamshanghat in the city from Wednesday morning.
The devotees said that every year after 12 days of Dol Purnima, this holy bath is held on Madhukrishna Tridashi of Chaitra month. The hope of getting merit in the sin is free from the morning. Thousands of pilgrims are chanting in Shanshanghat.
