Representative of Ramgati:
A truck (probent 50 maunds) of Jatka has been arrested at Ramgatti in Lakshmipur and 3 people were later fined by a mobile court.
On Wednesday (February 8) at noon, Ramgati Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Executive Magistrate SM Shafi Kamal fined each of the arrested 5 thousand rupees.
The fined are Bahar Hossain (27) son of Sharif Uddin of Char Falkon village of Kamalnagar upazila, Aktar Hossain (16) son of Azad Uddin of Sujan village of Ramgati upazila and Firoz (35 son of Abdus Salam of the same village). They were associated with Jatka Paribahan.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ramgati Police Station Iqbal Hossain said that 3 persons including 1 truck (100 maunds) Jatka were arrested from Ramgati's municipal ashram area on Tuesday night. Later, when they were produced in a mobile court, they were brought to the mobile court and the seized jatka was distributed to the unscrupulous fish.
