Mobile court fined 13 jailers in Ramgati

Own Correspondent: The floating court fined 13 fishermen for fishing in the Meghna river in Ramgatti of Lakshmipur in violation of the ban. The Executive Magistrate and Upazila Nirbahi Officer of the mobile court on Saturday night fined 13 fishermen. Abdul Momin ordered that the fine be fined and 6 of the convicts were fined 5 thousand and 7 2 thousand rupees.

The convicts are Md. Didar (35), a resident of Bartachar area of Ramgati upazila, Md. Rafiq (25), Md. Mannan (30), Md. Yusuf (25), Md. Karim (30) and Md Shahed (20). Each of them was fined five thousand taka. Those sentenced to two thousand taka are, Md. Nirab (20), a resident of the upazila's Butarchar area, Md. Abdul Quddus (20), Abdur Rahman (18), Md. Sajeeb (18), Md. Shipon (18), Md. Shakib (12) and Shakib (12).

Earlier in the afternoon, the naval police arrested them in the area adjacent to the slitch canal of the Meghna river and the naval police were seized with two boats, 50 thousand meters of various types of nets and 60 kg of jatka.
