Non-governmental Santha Beta has distributed winter clothes among the river-broken and poor elderly in Meghna coastal area of Ramgati upazila of Laxmipur.
On Tuesday (January 24) at noon, the distribution of the winter clothes was organized at the premises of Abdul Hadi College in the upazila, and the chairman of the upazila parishad, Professor Abdul O'taahed, was present as the chief guest.
Under the chairmanship of Char Algi UP Chairman Siraj Uddin and the project officer of Ramgati branch of Beta Md. Ibrahim, the special guests were Helal Uddin Joba, the principal of Abdul Hadi College, Mafiul Azam, representative of Helf Age.
‘The cover of the project of ’Inclusive of Under People in Disaster Resilience in South Asia' and the help of Helf Age has been distributed among the elderly.
Md Ibrahim, Project Officer of Ramgati Branch of Beta, said, ’We are implementing this project in the upazila and Char Algi Unit. In the meantime, we have distributed winter clothes (blankets) among the elders of Bakheri and Char Algi Unitan.
