Abu Taher, Ramganj Representative:
The bi-annual council of Laxmipur's Ramganj upazila and municipal BNP held at Ramganj Government College premises on Saturday. From 3 pm to 5 pm, a total of 1420 voters, including 710 people from 10 units and 10 of the municipalities, 1420 voters announced their suffrage after the election. At the end, Mozammel Haque Maju was elected as the president of Upazila BNP by getting 413 votes. The nearest rival Sahab Uddin Turkish got 297 votes. Monoter Hossain was elected as General Secretary. His closest rival was Abdur Rahim VP got 300 votes. Nazrul Islam Pintu Petchen 455 and Abul Bashar Satu was elected as 389 votes.
Ramganj Municipality BNP has been elected as President by 362 votes, the nearest rival was Ismail Hossain Bengal got 315 votes.
