The police recovered the half-melted bodies of an unidentified woman and child from under two separate bridges in Ramganj of Lakshmipur.
On Wednesday (April 19) around 5 pm, Ramganj-Sonaimi Saker Hanubish of the upazila Two bodies were recovered from under the bridge and in front of the Alipore SP in the side of the bridge. The identity of the body is not yet known.
According to local and police sources, Ramganj-Sonaimu is the Hanubish of Bhadur Unit No. 3 of Saikkhal Upazila. A 20-22-year-old woman wearing a black and corpse kameez was found on the spot by the locals.
Locals think that the child will be a woman's daughter.
Ramganj police station officer-in-charge (OC) Emdadul Haque said that the police have been sent to the spot and the body has been recovered and sent to the Laxmipur Sadar Hospital morgue. Attempts are being made to identify the body.
