The Great Independence and National Day has been celebrated with due dignity in the upazila administration in the midst of various programs.
On Tuesday (March 26), wreaths were placed on the portrait of Bangabandhu in the upazila square along with the sunset. Begum Habibun Nahar, MP of Bagerhat-3 Constituency, was present as the chief guest in the event under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Naratan Chandra Pal.
Earlier in the morning, the program of the day started with 31 cannons in the morning of 6 am Mongla upazila administration. The national flag was hoisted in government and private institutions. Police, Ansar and Village Defense Force, Fatter Service and Civil Defense, BNCC, Rover Scout and various educational institutions of the upazila participated in Kuzkawaz.
