The magnitude 6 earthquake hit Nepal on the Richter scale, which has shaken several parts of India.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake struck at 8:13 a.m. on Sunday in Nepal, 147 km from Kathmandu, Nepal, where the epicenter of the earthquake was at 10 km deep.
Its tremors were felt in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Karshitang, Bihar's Sitamari, Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur along with Siliguri.
Dhitung in Nepal is located 170 km northeast of Muzaffarpur in India, and some people of Bihar were terrified by the tremors.
