Bangladesh is in favor of mitigation through the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan over the Kashmir issue. If the two countries are in favor of cooperation, then Bangladesh can play a mediation role, but, not in favor of doing anything in the future.
Foreign Advisor Md Tauhid Hossain said these things while talking to reporters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday (April 27).
"We have a strong relationship between India and Pakistan on various issues, but we don't want any major conflict to create a serious threat to the people of the region. We have good relations with India and Pakistan," the foreign adviser said.
Bangladesh should not play any role in this matter, he said, we want them to solve their problems through discussion. We can't go to mediation if they want to cooperate. But we don't want to go to the next party.
