Former caretaker government advisor, prominent journalist Tafazzal Hossain Manik Mita's son and senior lawyer of the Supreme Court Barrister Mainul Hossain passed away (Innalillahi... Rajiun).
His personal officer Raju Ahmed said that he breathed his last while under treatment in a hospital in the capital on Saturday (December 09) around 6 pm.
He said that the funeral of Barrister Mainul Hossain will be held in Gulshan. After the second funeral of the Supreme Court area, he will be buried in the Azimpur cemetery.
Meanwhile, Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan expressed deep grief over the death of Barrister Moinul Hossain and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family.
Fearless journalist Tafazzal Hossain Manik Mita's eldest son Barrister Mainul Hossain was born in Pirojpur district in January 1940. He is a school education. He got matriculation from Nawabpur Government High School in Dhaka, Pirojpur and Dhaka, in 1961 from Dhaka University in 1961. He went to London in Barrister and got admission in Middle Temple-Inn as a barrister and started his law business in the same year in December.
During his stay in London, he served as a London representative of Daily Ittefaq, and he was also a member of the Commonwealth Press Institute.
After his father's death in 1969, Ittefaq was edited. In 1973, he became the president of the editorial board of Ittefaq.
In the 1973 National Assembly elections, he was elected Member of Parliament from the constituency formed by Bhandarita-Kathalita Nita of Pirojpur (Barisal) district as the Aoami League nominee in the National Assembly elections.
Barrister Moinul Hossain was the president of the Bangladesh Newspaper Council and a member of the Press Council, and also a member of the first press commission formed in Bangladesh, he was elected the President of the Supreme Court Lawyers Association (2000-2001).
After O'tan-Eleven, he served as an advisor to the government of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs for one year as an advisor to the government, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Lands and Ministry of Information.
