Maulana ABM Abdul Karim, the former principal of Kaunita Upazila Tepamdhupur Autalita Fazil Degree Madrasa, has been the chief Khatib's title without pay for 56 years.
Today Friday Tepamadhupur Bazar Central Shahi Jame Masjid Committee was present to him.
The mosque authorities said that he served with great reputation as the main khatib of the mosque for 56 years from 1 January 1966 to 31 December 2021.
He did not take any kind of honorary allowance while in charge of the chief khatib, he has played a major role in the development of the mosque, now he retired from the power of the chief khatib due to old age.
