As part of the central programme, a large rally was organized at the district outer stadium ground at 3 pm on Thursday (Feb 20) at the initiative of Laxmipur district BNP, which has been organized from the district towns to the upazila towns, with posters, festoons and arcades.
BNP National Standing Committee member, former minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury spoke as the chief guest in the rally.

Around the rally, there has already been a lot of enthusiasm among the leaders and activists of BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, Swachhasebak Dal and other affiliated organizations. The party leaders and activists started attending the rally from Thursday morning.
The speakers demanded control of commodity prices in the rally, law and order control and early elections of the national parliament.
Former minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury said in the speech of the chief guest that BNP has endured a lot of torture in the last 17 years and no one has the courage to stop BNP.
He also said that Awami League and Sheikh Hasina must be tried on the soil of Bengal. There will be no moves about the elections. The formation and taking advantage of new political parties from the government will not be allowed. The situation has been fragile everywhere, starting from the price of goods, the sooner the election is held, the better for them.
It should be noted that the rally has been organized with various demands including keeping the prices of daily commodities at a level of commodity, improving the law and order situation, announcing the election roadmap for a quick democratic transition and the countermeasure of the fallen fascism.
