Speaking in the rally, ‘Rickshaw, Battery Rickshaw-Van and Easybike Struggle Parishad’ Central Committee Convener Khalekuzzaman Lipun, Member Secretary Engineer Imran Habib Rumon, Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (Basad) Barisal District Committee Member Secretary Dr. Manisha Chakraborty, Central Leader Host Leader Roksana Ausha, Shariful Islam Didar, Shirhu, Sin, S. Central and District Committee leaders were present in the Essambike Sangam Parishad advisor businessman Hossainul Haque Murad, senior vice-president freedom fighter Mofiz Ulyah Master and organizing secretary Saifullah Khaled, along with the country's district and upazila autorickshaw businessmen and workers.
The speakers said that the self-employment of 50 lakh people across the country and the livelihood of millions of people are associated with battery-powered autorickshaws and easybikes, which are playing a role in preventing unemployment in the country. A Kuchkrimahal is plotting to stop it, but the Supreme Court has asked to legitimize it, but there is still no effective initiative.
They also said that if the easybike is stopped, the poor people will be in the process of getting the hard work.
Earlier in the morning, the battery-powered auto-rickshaw, Easybike Struggle Parishad took out a protest march on the same demand. The procession was held in front of the National Press Club after circumambulating the important areas of the capital including Dhaka University, Central Shaheed Minar and High Court areas.
