Bangladesh valued friendship with China, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, ‘only believe in one China policy’.
He said this when he went to meet Chinese Foreign Minister Otang Yi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganabhaban and after the meeting, Prime Minister's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed the reporters.
Referring to the Russian-Ukraine war, sanctions-seasoning and counter-banking-sieving, the Prime Minister said that people all over the world are suffering due to these reasons.
South Asia, South East Asia and China may work together to promote economic development in the situation.
This is the same Chinese foreign minister said that his country will support various issues related to Bangladesh in various international forums and will continue their cooperation in the overall development of Bangladesh as a strategic partner.
The Prime Minister said that the forcibly displaced Rohingyas are a burden to Bangladesh and Bangladesh wants the cooperation of China to resolve this crisis.
The Chinese minister expressed hope that the Rohingya issue will be resolved through bilateral talks between Bangladesh and Myanmar.
