JN Rac Hospital in Maniktala area of North Kolkata, West Bengal, India, said it will no longer provide medical care to patients from Bangladesh. The hospital authorities have taken this decision to protest the ‘tyranny’ of minority Hindus.
On Friday (November 30), the country's news agency PTI reported this information, citing several officials of JN Rac Hospital.
According to PTI, JN Rac Hospital in West Bengal has issued a notification that it will not treat Bangladeshi patients indefinitely.
JN Rat Hospital official Shubhranshu Bhakta said, "We have issued a notification that we will not admit any Bangladeshi patient for treatment from today indefinitely. We have taken this decision to protest the insult of the Indian flag."
Subhranshu Bhakta also urged other hospitals in Kolkata to take similar measures (stoppage of medical services for Bangladeshi patients) as part of the protest against the alleged oppression of minorities in Bangladesh.
"We have decided to stop the medical services of Bangladeshis in the country's independence war, we are witnessing anti-India sentiment in Bangladesh. We hope other hospitals will support us and take similar steps," he said.
Earlier, the famous Indian gynecologist Indranil Saha stopped seeing Bangladeshi patients in protest against the insult of the Indian national flag. Last Thursday night, he posted a picture of the Indian national flag insult in Bangladesh and wrote, "Bharti's national flag is being thrown at the entrance of the Budette!" I am stopping seeing patients of Bangladesh in the chamber for now. First country, then earn later. I hope the relationship does not normalize until the relationship is normal.
