Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology in Gopalganj has celebrated the Great Independence and National Day 2022 in various events.
On this occasion, discussion meetings, cultural programs, cultural events, liberation war film exhibition, Tungipajat at the tomb of the Father of the Nation, Gopalganj city, Shaheed Memorial adjacent to Sheikh Kamal Stadium and University's Shaheed Minar and lighting of the campus buildings are being lit.
On March 26, 11.00 am, in room number 501 of the academic building, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. Q. M. Under the chairmanship of Mahbub, a discussion meeting titled ‘Bangladesh Independence and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’ was held.
The Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of Dhaka University spoke as the main speaker. Muhammad Samad, the provost of Sheikh Russell Hall, Md. Fatekuzzaman Mita conducted the discussion.
Chief negotiator Professor Dr. Muhammad Samad highlighted various aspects of the contribution of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in his speech in achieving the independence of Bangladesh.
He said that Bangabandhu has been serving the common people since his childhood, he said, "Bangabandhu was the first political leader who was arrested for the language movement. It was under the leadership of Bangabandhu that the people of this country participated in the liberation war."
The president of the discussion meeting, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. Q. M. Mahbub said, Bangabandhu has not only lived his life for the country, he has left us a beautiful philosophy of life, his philosophy of life.
Before this, the first hour of Independence Day, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. Q. M. Under the leadership of Mahbub, at 12.15 pm Tungipajat Tungipajat paid tribute at the mausoleum of the Father of the Nation, at 9.30 am at the Shaheed Memorial adjacent to Sheikh Kamal Staditaum in Gopalganj town and at 10.00 am at the central Shaheed Minar of the University.
Various social organizations including Teachers Association, Bangabandhu Parishad, Officers Association, University Chhatra League, Employees Association, all halls, various departments, Rover Scout, Bashemurbiprobi Press Club paid tribute to all the martyrs of the Liberation War.
A day-long love competition, 4.30 pm cultural program at the square of Shaheed Minar and Sandhya Muktijudda Bishtak film exhibition will be organized in the playground of the university.
The teachers-students and officials-employees of the university were present in the events.
