The opponents beat up a man named Abu Kalam Chowkidar and cut his ears in Taltali upazila of Barguna due to previous enmity.
The incident took place in Paopasa area of the upazila around 11 o'clock on Friday (March 11).
It is known that Abu Kalam, as usual, was given medicine to take care of Boro paddy in his land. At that time, 7-8 people including Russell, Gani and Alamgir attacked Abu Kalam from behind and beat him up due to the previous enmity of land.
It caused two teeth to fall out and cut off his ears when his wife Shahana Begum tried to stop her and beat her.
Later, the locals rescued Abu Kalam and his wife and took him to the hospital in Taltali and sent him to Barisal Shere-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
Abu Kalam's son Arif said, "I have a problem with my neighbor Russell, because of that, the Russells beat up my father and cut his ears and also beat my mother in the beating."
In this poison, the accused Russell was called several times on the phone but he did not receive the call.
Taltali police station officer in charge Kazi Sakhawat Hossain Tapu said that no one has complained about this yet. If there is a complaint, action will be taken after investigation.
