The bodies of two fishermen have been recovered from the five jailed in the Bay of Bengal, two bodies were recovered from the Baleshwar river in the deep Bay of Bengal after two bodies will be brought to Barguna Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, Barguna District Trawler Owners Association President Golam Mostafa Chowdhury said.
18 fishermen of a fishing trawler named Bhai Bhai Bhai Bhai were attacked by pirates in the Bay of Bengal late on February 17. At that time, 9 fishermen jumped into the sea to escape the attack. Three days after the incident, the fishermen rescued 4 fishermen alive in the sea on February 20. Later, one of them was under treatment and one of them was found dead while undergoing treatment, and two of the missing 5 fishermen were recovered today.
The dead fishermen are Qayyum Majhi and Abul Kalam, among them, Qayyum Majhi's house is in Chamu Para area of Taltali upazila of Barguna and Abul Kalam's house is in Raibhog Choumuhuni area of Barguna Sadar upazila.The incident is still missing, Farid, Khairul and Abdul Alim.
In this regard, Barguna District Trawler Owners Association President Golam Mostafa Chowdhury said that based on the information of fishermen who fishing in the sea, the bodies of the two missing fishermen have been searched in the sea and their bodies are being taken to Barguna Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
In this regard, Mohammad Miraj, the owner of Bhai Bhai Trawler, said, I have filed a case against 25 to 30 unknown persons at Rangabali police station in Patuakhali district on February 19.
In this regard, the commander of Patharghata station in the Coast Guard, Lt. Shafayet Abrar, said, "We have received information about the recovery of the bodies of two fishermen from the sea, which is what we are trying to legally hand over the bodies to their relatives."
