‘Photography talks about society, history highlights history. You connect with photography. Those who have a hobby in this subject will consider it an art,’ said Vice-Chancellor Naqeeb Mohammad Nasrullah at the Islamic University (EB) Photographic Society (IUPS) freshman ceremony on Tuesday.
At this time, he added, ‘I can't take pictures myself but I try to understand the pictures and try to understand them. Photography reveals the talent of people. Also, the photographic society is spreading photojournalism. Photography is practiced all over the world in different countries. There are photo museums, some museums in the Netherlands that I have displayed.’
The event was attended by the president of the organization Mohammad Salahuddin as the chief guest, University Vice-Chancellor Naqib Mohammad Nasrullah was present as a special guest, Prof. Shahinuzzaman.
Also present was the coordinator of the university's anti-discrimination student movement S.M. The organization's president, Mohammad Salahuddin, said, ‘Today's newcoming was one of the most buoyant days of IUPS. Our main objective is to transform the new members into human resources by welcoming new members. In this era of multimedia, learning photography and videography is a must-see story through photography and videography.’
