The government has appointed retired Justice Md. Nizamul Haque as the chairman of the Bangladesh Press Council, the retired Justice of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.
‘ The Press Council Act, 1974’ According to this appointment, notification was issued on Monday (October 11) with this appointment Ministry of Public Administration.
Retired Justice of the Appellate Division, Mumtaz Uddin Ahmad, was the last chairman of the Press Council, and first the chairman of the contract was appointed as the chairman of the contract on August 4, 2014. The term of his contract was further extended.
