Alhaj Advocate Md. Jamil Hasan Durjoy, the much-discussed chairman candidate of Gazipur's Sreepur Upazila Parishad, has approached the High Court to get back his candidacy.
Cheterman candidate Md. Jamil Hasan Durjat Bangladesh Election Commission (EC) canceled the candidature yesterday.
Jamil Hasan Durjat filed the appeal petition against the EC's government today but the appeal hearing was not held today on Thursday (May 16. It is said that the hearing will be held on Sunday, May 19).
Meanwhile, today in Gazipur, all the people of Sreepur Upazila were looking at the judgment of the High Court. The supporters of Jamil Hasan Durjoy hoped that their beloved leader Jamil Hasan Durjoy would get back the candidacy through the High Court verdict.
Many people were very encouraged and gave false status on social media that Jamil Hasan Durjat had regained his candidacy, which led to confusion among the general voters.
Meanwhile, the activist supporters of Jamil Hasan Durjoy are said to be disappointed as the verdict did not come today, and they believe that Jamil Hasan Durjoy may have been knocked out of the election.
