Barhatta of Netrakona is being cultivated commercially with colorful cauliflower. The yield and price are good, the upazila has completed a lot of money.
It is delicious to eat and attractive to look at, local farmers and eager people are taking advice while others are taking advice and some are taking pictures.
Farmer Mosharraf Hossain, a farmer of Manash village in Barhatta upazila, has been cultivating vegetables for a long time. This year he has cultivated various types of vegetables in 40th century land, in which colored cauliflower has grown in 20th century land. The yield is also good. He collected cauliflower seeds in his field.
He has already started selling at 1 lakh 35 thousand rupees for seeds and cultivation. Each cauliflower is being sold at 70 to 80 taka in the field.
Barhatta Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Rakibul Hasan said, although it was cultivated in small scale last year, this year, this year, various farmers have been planted with colorful cauliflower in 150th century land. It is a nutritious and high protein vegetable, especially it has anti-cancer ingredients.
