Bangladesh Aomi League General Secretary and Minister of Transport and Bridges said, "When I met Peter Haas (US Ambassador in Dhaka), he told me that he was asked by the caretaker government, "We don't care about the government. We (U.S.) want a fair and impartial election."

Commenting that there is no foreign pressure for the election, Obatadul Quader said, "We are not feeling any pressure from outside the country."
He made this comment after the board meeting of the bridge authority at Setu Bhaban in Banani of the capital on Sunday (May 7).
Obatadul Quader said that the definition of neutrality of BNP is in 2001 and 2007, a caretaker government in the country. BNP thinks that a government that is a caretaker government can actually win them.
He said that the government's activities and behavior of the government have benefited from the 2001. They (BNP) want to come to the polls by adopting a batased strategy. That is their impartiality. They should be guaranteed to win the election.
The Awami League general secretary said there are election commissions here, they are free and fair, they have enough power to maintain neutrality.
He also said that it is the right of BNP to come to the elections. The government does not give opportunities to do so, it is a democratic right to hold elections. It cannot be that Aomi League will bring them.
