Sheikh Hasina has known that various steps have already been taken to keep the prices of daily necessities including edible oil within the purchasing power of the people.
He also said that the price of daily necessities has started to stabilize as a result of the steps taken by the government.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said this in a written answer to a question of Syed Abu Hossain, Member of Parliament of the opposition party, in the National Parliament session on Wednesday.
On this day, the question and answer session was presented in the table. Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury presided over the session.
The Prime Minister also said that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the production and supply of all daily necessities, including food products, is reduced worldwide.
Moreover, the Russia-Ukraine war has led to global economic recession, which has led to the deterioration of the war of production and supply, which has led to global inflation and the rise in the prices of daily commodities, and Bangladesh is no exception.
Taking timely steps by the government is making it possible to increase the production and supply of goods in Bangladesh.
