There was an attack on the candidate of the post of Chairman Md Farooq Ahmed in the Nabinagar Upazila Parishad elections.
The incident took place in the area of Ahmedpur village of the upazila on Sunday afternoon.
Md. Salahuddin, son of Abdus Samad Sarkar of the same village, was sitting at a table in that shop.
Eyewitnesses said that one of the scuffle was assaulted along with Farooq Ahmed's hand in the body. In this regard, Jahangir Alam, chairman of Laur Fatehpur Union Parishad, said, "I was not at the scene but I heard that the ambushed of the candidate Farooq Bhai was very sad and indifferent."
In this regard, Md Farooq Ahmed, the candidate for the post of Chairman, said that the incident took place in order to arrange for Badal Bhai's cousin Azad Bhai to sit in. He cut the call after giving a call after details.
