A motorcycle rider named Chapat Imrul Haque (50) of Qadir Molla City College bus in Narsingdi has died.
The accident took place in front of the co-operative school in Ghoshal town area of Palash upazila of Narsingdi district on Sunday (August 21) afternoon. The locals arrested the killer bus and bus driver Jahangir Mita (40) and handed it over to the police.
The deceased Imrul Haque was the son of Abdul Rashid Mita of Daudkandi upazila of Comilla district, who was a government employee of the plant operator of Ghoshal thermal power plant, and he was living in the resident quarter of the thermal power plant.
The police and eyewitnesses said that the bus and motorcycle were coming from Palash Ghoshal in Narsingdi on Sunday afternoon and when the motorcycle came in front of the Smut Cooperative School and overtake the bus, the bus was hit by the bus.
Later, the locals rescued Imrul Haque and went to Palash Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty was referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital after seeing the condition of the critically injured person, where Imrul Haque died on the way.
In this case, Palash Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Ilich said that the incident of the accident has been arrested by the killer bus and the driver Jahangir Mi't.
