AHM Safiquzzaman, Director General (DG) of the Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection, said that the government is working sincerely to prevent the rise in commodity prices.
He said this in a sixth parliament on Friday (February 9) at Dhaka FDC.

Considering the demand for the month of Ramadan, the import duty of some products has already been reduced, but it will be somewhat useful to get the benefits of the consumer.
He said that the operation is being conducted to control the price of goods. There is no dominant circle pressure against market monitoring. The concerned ministries and organizations are working in coordination to control the price of the product. The government is giving priority to trade diplomacy. Bangladesh will not be Sri Lanka or Venezuela in any way.
