Rajshahi Correspondent: 5 Veku machines (excavator) have been cleared in the operation of the mobile court against the cutting of valuable tops of the agricultural land of Rajshahi's Durgapur upazila.
At the same time, the case against the accused has been ordered to be filed.
The operation was conducted at two separate places in the upazila on Wednesday (February 18) afternoon.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Latla Noor Tanju conducted the mobile court.
According to mobile court sources, the operation was carried out on the charge of illegally cutting the tops of agricultural land in the district of No. 7 of J.T.C.U.N.U.N.N.
During the operation, 5 Veku machines were immediately cleared at the scene, while instruction has been issued to the UNIten Land Assistant Officer to file a case against the concerned.
Some land owners claim that due to the accumulation of crops or water, ponds were being dug or old ponds were being renovated.
In this regard, the administration has informed that those who want to dig or renovate the pond legally, they can apply in writing to the Honorable District Commissioner and the learned District Magistrate, Rajshahi.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Lautla Noor Tanju said, “The administration will continue to protect the valuable tops of agricultural land and preserve the valuable topsatelle of agricultural land. Strict action will be taken against those who are involved in illegal cutting of soil.
