Two thousand battalion Ansar members were kept on standby in Dhaka metropolitan area on Saturday (October 28) around the general meeting of BNP's two political parties and the development and peace rally of Aomi League.
This information was informed in a memorandum signed by Mohammad Rashed Hossain Chowdhury, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Department (Political Branch-2) of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
It is said that the Director General of Ansar and Village Defense Forces was requested to take necessary measures to keep 2000 Battalion Ansar members on standby from 8 am for one day on Saturday.
