The 16-point demand of the university administration has been given a seven-day ultimatum to the university administration, including the increase in the retirement age, the conditions for the admission of the pets and the maintenance of the session benefits of the officials.
On Saturday (September 16) at 11 o'clock in the office of the Vice-Chancellor, the agitators gave this decision to the administration in the discussion of the ‘Just Rights Realization Committee’ with the Vice-Chancellor's demand.
Earlier, from July 26 to August 2, the officials went on strike for 2 hours in the demand. Later, they continued to strike for five hours from 9 am to 2 pm from 9 am to 2 pm. If the demand is not met, they will be given a strict movement warning at the end of August.
In order to implement the program, the officials were given instructions to not participate in the administrative work in the administrative work. As part of this, the agitators did not allow the registrar to participate in the 261st syndicate of the university on September 3. On that day in the afternoon, the officials surrounded the registrar's office from 3 pm to 6 pm. ATM Emdadul Alam, the president of the officials association and the convener of the rightful rights implementation committee, said, despite our demands being legal, the vice-chancellor is destroying the environment of this university and this university management has failed. We love the university, we love the work. We have all the officials and employees united and decided to give five days to the administration. We will not be able to decide the issue of our demands as parents.
The 16-point demand of the officials is:
1. Retirement age from Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi and Jahangir Nagar University and other universities should be 62 years.
2. The session benefits of the employees should be maintained as per the decision of the Syndicate.
3. The inhuman decision taken to release the service of ICT boy's sub-registrar Hasina Mumtaz should be withdrawn.
4. Since the creation of the Islamic University, teachers, officials and employees have been enjoying the benefits of Paushya quota. Paushyas have also been admitted in the academic year 2020-2021 under GST. As such, the Paushyas should be admitted in the light of the academic year 2020-2021 through the central admission committee of the university.
5. The retirement age from the service of the officers and employees shall be implemented in the case of all officers and employees as per Section 8 of the Service Commission of the University.
6. The promotion and canceled height scale of the senior Imam Moniruzzaman of the Hall of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Imam Belayet Hossain of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Hall should be returned.
7. The promotion problem of two engineers of the engineering office, Badsha Mamunur Rashid and Noor Alam, should be resolved quickly.
8. The most qualified person in the family of employees due to death while working in the university should take steps to implement the issue of employment within 90 days of the death as per the decision of the Syndicate.
9. Special tickers on promotion policies of employees approved by the Syndicate In light, 11 administrative officers should be promoted to the post of branch officer.
10. Technical officers of all levels working in the medical center should be resolved.
11. Unearned increments should be provided to the employees due to the increase in educational qualifications like other universities.
12. The remuneration of the examination fees of the officers and employees concerned with the examination work should be increased.
13 In other universities, the seven-step facility of NAT Gaza drivers should be implemented.
14. General employees should be promoted through promotion/upregulation four times a year as per promotion policy.
15. Concurrent organograms should be done for the university.
16. On the seventh anniversary of the 6 officers working in various offices of the university, the professor of law department is in the process of promoting/upgrading the post of branch officer.
