Police chase, counter-chase and clashes with BNP leaders and workers at four points in the capital are injuring several people.
These clashes took place on Saturday (July 29) in Dholaikhal, Gabtali, Uttara and Matuail areas after 11 am.
DMP Commission Commissioner of Police (DMP) Khandkar Golam Farooq said that no one was allowed to block the entrance to Dhaka.
The party is complaining that several leaders and workers including BNP leader Amanullah Aman, Gausheshwar Chandra Roy have been arrested during these programs. BNP announced a sit-in program at the important entrance of Dhaka from 10 am to 4 pm. Due to the untoward situation, members of the law enforcement agencies took positions in all the state since morning.
